  1. What is the Prime Time Club?

General

  1.  What is the Prime Time Club?

The Prime Time Club is Damascus Community Bank’s newest premium service for people age 50 and better who, with a minimum balance of $10,000 in any combination of deposit accounts, including savings and CDs, is eligible for several bank services and benefits, including travel opportunities.

  1.  What is the benefit of being a member?

As a member of the club you will receive a free interest-bearing checking account with free Prime Time Club checks, for as long as you have the account and are a member of the Prime Time Club, along with a membership card that will enable you to receive discounts with local participating merchants.  You will also be eligible for many added benefits that include: .10% rate premium on all CDs and IRAs, .25% rate discount on loans**, safe deposit boxes discounted at 50%, $10 for new club member referral, $10 deposit into an account for each new grandchild, a quarterly newsletter, monthly luncheons, daytrips (Baltimore, New York, etc.), weekend trips, travel tours (cruises, overseas, etc.) and other select bank services at no charge.

  1. Can I use my existing checks for the checking account or do I have to use the Prime Time Club checks?

You will receive free Prime Time Club checks as a benefit of becoming a member of the club.  You may use your existing checks until you receive your new Prime Time Club checks; however, if you prefer to continue using your existing checks, rather than your free PTC checks, you may do so.

  1. Do I have to open the free checking account that comes with the Prime Time Club?

No, it is not required that you open the free checking account.

  1. I already have $10,000 in deposits at your bank – can I convert my existing account to Prime Time Club?

Yes, you may convert your existing accounts to Prime Time Club accounts to become a member of the club.

  1. Will I get new account disclosures if I convert my existing account to a Prime Time Club account?  Will I have to sign a new signature card also?

When you convert an existing account to a Prime Time Club account, you will receive new disclosures; and, you will need to sign a new signature card acknowledging the change.

  1. As a Prime Time Club member, what kind of select bank services will I receive at no charge?

You will receive the following free bank services: 

Account Research/Statement Reconciliation

Gift Cards (American Express)

Online Bill Pay   

Wire Transfers (outgoing domestic)   

Traveler’s Cheques (American Express) – Cheques for Two

Treasurer’s Checks     

Certified Checks

Discounted Services:

  1. If my spouse is not 50 years of age, can he/she still be a member of the club with me?

Yes, so long as you, as the primary member, are 50 years of age or better.  

  1.  What do I need to do to receive my Prime Time Club discount when I shop at participating vendors?

You will need to show your Prime Time Club membership card to receive the offered vendor discount.

  1.  Does the rate premium apply to all CDs and IRAs?

The rate premium will apply to all CDs and all IRAs.

  1.  I have a CD that I opened last month before becoming a Prime Time Club member – can I convert my CD today to reflect the rate premium?

You may convert your CD at the next renewal period.

  1. During my 10 day grace period on my expiring CD, will the CD automatically roll over with the rate premium included; or, will I need to come to the bank personally to roll it over?

Yes, we will set your CD up when you open your account so that you will receive the Prime Time Club rates.

  1. Does the rate discount of .25% apply to all loan products?

Yes, the rate discount of .25% will apply to all loan products. (cannot be combined with any other special rate)

  1. Does it apply to overdraft protection also?

Yes, the .25% applies to overdraft protection also.

  1. Who is eligible for the $10 member referral credit?  Is there a limit to the number of people I can refer to the Prime Time Club?

Anyone who becomes a member of the Prime Time Club will be eligible to receive the $10 member referral credit provided that the person referred becomes a member.  There is no limit to the number of people you can refer.

  1. If both my spouse and I refer one person to the Prime Time Club, will we both receive a $10 member referral credit?

If each of you refers different members then each of you will receive $10.

  1. Does the $10 credit for grandchildren apply to great grandchildren also?  Can I get the credit for grandchildren/great grandchildren born prior to me joining the club?

The $10 credit applies to both grandchildren and great grandchildren who are born after you become a member of the Prime Time Club.

  1. My safe deposit box contract does not expire until the end of the year – can I get my Prime Time Club discount now?

You will be eligible for the safe deposit box discount upon your next contract renewal.

  1. If I currently have a loan with your bank and I become a Prime Time Club member, am I eligible for the .25% discount at that time?

No, you are eligible for the rate discount on new loans only.

 

Trips 

  1. How will I know about the luncheons, trips, and other Prime Time Club activities?

The bank will publish a quarterly newsletter that will advertise all up and coming Prime Time Club luncheons, trips and other club activities.  This information will be accessible on the bank’s website at www.damascuscommbank.com under Prime Time Club and by clicking on the Prime Time Club quarterly newsletter link.

  1. How do I register for the trips?

There will be a printable registration form on the bank’s website that you will need to complete and return to the Prime Time Club Director, along with a full deposit reserving your space for the trip.  If you do not have access to our website, you may call or email the Prime Time Club Director at the number/email address above to obtain a registration form.  Each of our branches can also print one out for you while you are doing your banking. 

  1. As a Prime Time Club member, will I be able to take a guest with me on trips, luncheons, etc.?

The bank will allow one guest per Prime Time Club member to accompany you at any club function/activity.

  1.  If I take a guest on a trip through the Prime Time Club, will he/she be eligible for member travel rates?

Any guest that accompanies a Prime Time Club member on a trip would pay the non-member rate at 5% above the member price.
